Todd Franklin Detamore, 50, passed away August 16, 2013 in his home with his loved ones by his side. Todd was born in Harrisonburg, VA to the late Barbara Ann Early Detamore and surviving father, Larry E. Detamore of Harrisonburg. He is also survived by his fiancée, Tammy Charnock, of Virginia Beach, Siblings Shelley D. Begoon, and brother, Craig S. Detamore, two nephews, J.T. Begoon of Grottoes, VA, Westley Begoon of Churchville, VA, one niece, Jillian Begoon of Hinton, VA, four great nephews, Kaden, Ruebin, Garrett, Jack, one great niece, Londyn and one aunt, Brenda Early.
A wood finish specialist, Todd worked at Wampler Chemical for 27 years and was currently employed at Wurth Wood Group, Norfolk where he was top salesman in 2012. Todd enjoyed cooking and entertaining always living life as if there were no tomorrow. His wit and humor will truly be missed.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, Virginia 23502, from 6-8 P.M. and a memorial service on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. A gathering to celebrate Todd’s life will be held after the memorial service in the reception area with food and drinks. It is requested anyone wanting to provide food bring it to the reception in lieu of the home for all to enjoy.
Todd’s wishes were to have contributions go to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in lieu of flowers.
